Abstract:

Automatic topic detection seems unavoidable in social media analysis due to big text data which their users generate. Clustering-based Methods.are one of the most important and up-to-date categories in topic detection. The goal of this research is to have a wide study on this category. Therefore, this paper aims to study the main components of clustering-based-topic-detection, which are embedding Methods. distance metrics, and clustering algorithms. Transfer learning and consequently pretrained language models and word embeddings have been considered in recent years. Regarding the importance of embedding Methods. the efficiency of five new embedding Methods. from earlier to recent ones, are compared in this paper. To conduct our study, two commonly used distance metrics, in addition to five important clustering algorithms in the field of topic detection, are implemented by the authors. As COVID-19 has turned into a hot trending topic on social networks in recent years, a dataset including one-month tweets collected with COVID-19-related hashtags is used for this study. More than 7500 experiments are performed to determine tunable parameters. Then all combinations of embedding Methods. distance metrics and clustering algorithms (50 combinations) are evaluated using Silhouette metric. Results show that T5 strongly outperforms other embedding Methods. cosine distance is weakly better than other distance metrics, and DBSCAN is superior to other clustering algorithms.

Abstract:

Four important ways of religious education in the field of beliefs are inferred in this article through the nature of religion in the Holy Quran. We have examined two categories of “nature of religion” and “Methods.of religious education” for this purpose. All verses including the root of “د ـ ی ـ ن” (religion) have been investigated in order to properly understand the nature of religion in the Holy Quran. Then, we have benefited from the inference method to find the ways of religious education in the Holy Quran. In the inferential method, we have reached the “conclusion”, which is the method of religious education by using two premises, “normative” and “realistic”. The solutions of the Holy Quran to achieve the Methods.of religious education are explained in the following. For example, using the Scriptures directly to know the right actions is one of the solutions of the Holy Quran to reach the way of believing in the punishment of deeds. The achievement of religious education Methods.through discovering the nature of religion and explaining the purpose of education on the one hand and using the inferential method as a research method on the other hand is one of the innovations of this research. The achievements of this paper can be used to provide an educational theoretical model for formal and public education system.

Abstract:

Knowing the approaches of the commentators (the scholars who interpret the Holy Book of Quran) of Quranic researching provides the basis for understanding, analyzing and criticizing their views and opinions, because tafsīr (Arabic: تفسیر, exegesis) texts are influenced by the commentator’s worldview and mental ideas, as well as a reflection of the cultural and social requirements of his era. One of the issues that has recently become a subject in the field of understanding and interpreting the Holy Book of Quran is the effect of gender element in the understanding of religious texts. Therefore, this research, using descriptive-analytical method in a comparative context, has investigated the tendency, Fundamentals and exegetical Methods.of “Āmina Wadud” (Arabic: آمنة ودود) and “ʿĀʾisha Bint al-Shāṭi” (عائشة بِنت الشاطئ) two of the Quran researchers. The obtained results indicate that the interpretative tendency of Āmina Wadud is social, transsexual and justice-oriented. She has used the hermeneutic method and philosophical analysis in explaining the discourses of the Qur'an in this regard. The tendency of the fundamentals and Methods.in the Quranic understanding of Āmina Wadud in her social commentary leads her to Islamic rulings in the field of women in order to present a new and modern reading of them. But Bint al-Shāṭi’s exegesis tendency is theological literary in line with the Quran’s verbal inimitability (Arabic: الإِعجاز البیانیّ, Romanized: al-Iʾjāz) of the Holy Book of Quran. She is trying to put emphasis and style (the Methods.used in written language) on the verbal inimitability of the Holy Book of Quran by a linguistic point of view in line with the method of verbal exegesis.

Abstract:

To date, no experimental investigations utilizing petrographic, XRF, ICP, or TL methodologies have been undertaken for the analysis of Sasanian and Early Islamic pottery in Western Iran. Consequently, the findings of this study are anticipated to contribute valuable insights into the pottery production processes prevalent during this historical period in Western Iran. To achieve this objective, eight pottery specimens retrieved from the excavations of the Jahangir monument were submitted to the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and the Geological Survey for petrographic analysis, while two samples each were designated for XRF, ICP, and thermoluminescence assessments. The primary research inquiries pertain to elucidating the composition and structure of the pottery, determining the firing intensity in the kiln, and discerning whether the pottery is of indigenous or imported origin. The outcomes of the experiments indicate the presence of three predominant compounds—quartz, iron oxide, and calcite—in the majority of samples procured from the Jahangir monument. Nonetheless, certain pottery specimens incorporate mica particles or chert stone in the clay composition. With few exceptions, the pottery is ascertained to be domestically manufactured, denoting its local provenance within the region. The texture of the selected pottery samples is characterized as silty, porphyritic, and inhomogeneously silty. The identification of calcite in the clay of all Jahangir pottery suggests a maximum kiln temperature of 800°C during the firing process. Furthermore, notwithstanding a limited number of exceptions, the scarcity of soil variations in the majority of pottery specimens implies a shared geographical origin

Abstract:

Introduction: Cesarean section is considered essential for protecting both the mother’s and fetus’s health. Nevertheless, in spite of being one of the safest surgical Methods. cesarean section is more dangerous for mothers than vaginal delivery. According to WHO’s report, almost 15% of the deliveries can correctly lead to cesarean. However, statistics during the previous decade show a noticeable increase in the rate of cesarean. In many cases, cesarean is not a medical necessity. According to a number of studies, pregnant women prefer not to tolerate the pain that, in turn, leads to the main cause of increasing tendencies to voluntary cesarean. Having knowledge about pain reducing Methods.can, therefore, decrease such tendencies.Materials and Methods. This cross-sectional analytical study was conducted on 390 pregnant women referring to the public health centers of Mashhad. They filled out a questionnaire about personal and obstetric information, the kind of delivery they preferred (vaginal or cesarean), and their knowledge about pain relief Methods.of delivery. Results: The findings show that the study groups, i.e. those participants who favored cesarean and those who preferred vaginal delivery, showed no significant difference in age, education, and job. The main causes of tendency to vaginal delivery were found to be the fear of anesthesia and surgery as well as willingness to see the newborn immediately after giving birth. The fear of vaginal delivery pain and the physician’s diagnosis were the main causes of voluntary cesarean. 80.80% of the participants were not aware of the pain reducing Methods.of baby delivery. Conclusion: As suggested by the findings, the main reason for having cesarean is the fear of vaginal delivery. However, the findings also suggest that the patients are not sufficiently aware of pain relief Methods.due to the lack of access to the adequate information being provided by the delivery centers. It seems that raising women’s knowledge about delivery pain reducing Methods.and their benefits can decrease their tendencies to voluntary cesarean.

Abstract:

The idea that science is objective, or able to achieve objectivity, is in large part responsible for the role that science plays within society. But what is objectivity? The idea of objectivity is ambiguous. This paper distinguishes between three basic forms of objectivity. The first form of objectivity is ontological objectivity: the world as it is in itself does not depend upon what we think about it; it is independent of human thought, language, conceptual activity or experience. The second form of objectivity is the objectivity of truth: truth does not depend upon what we believe or justifiably believe; truth depends upon the way reality itself is. The third form of objectivity is epistemic objectivity: this form of objectivity resides in the scientific method which ensures that subjective factors are excluded, and only epistemically relevant factors play a role in scientific inquiry. The paper considers two problems that arise for the notion of epistemic objectivity: the theory-dependence of observation and the variability of the Methods.of science. It is argued that the use of shared standard procedures ensures the objectivity of observation despite theory-dependence. It is argued that the variability of Methods.need not lead to an epistemic relativism about science. The paper concludes with the realist suggestion that the best explanation of the success of the sciences is that the Methods.employed in the sciences are highly reliable truth-conducive tools of inquiry. The objectivity of the Methods.of the sciences leads to the objective truth about the objective world.

Abstract:

Distance-based clustering Methods.categorize samples by optimizing a global criterion, finding ellipsoid clusters with roughly equal sizes. In contrast, density-based clustering techniques form clusters with arbitrary shapes and sizes by optimizing a local criterion. Most of these Methods.have several hyper-parameters, and their performance is highly dependent on the hyper-parameter setup. Recently, a Gaussian Density Distance (GDD) approach was proposed to optimize local criteria in terms of distance and density properties of samples. GDD can find clusters with different shapes and sizes without any free parameters. However, it may fail to discover the appropriate clusters due to the interfering of clustered samples in estimating the density and distance properties of remaining unclustered samples. Here, we introduce Adaptive GDD (AGDD), which eliminates the inappropriate effect of clustered samples by adaptively updating the parameters during clustering. It is stable and can identify clusters with various shapes, sizes, and densities without adding extra parameters. The distance metrics calculating the dissimilarity between samples can affect the clustering performance. The effect of different distance measurements is also analyzed on the method. The experimental results conducted on several well-known datasets show the effectiveness of the proposed AGDD method compared to the other well-known clustering Methods.

Abstract:

High stiffness to weight ratio, ease and speed of handling, as well as having favorable architectural appearance cause that, double layer grids with ball joint system are widely used to cover large spans. A double-layer grid has a complex behavior due to a large number of elements and a particular type of joints; hence, structural identification of this type of structure is an important issue, which refers to the determination of natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping ratios. These results are necessary to complete the structural health monitoring, finite element model updating and damage detection. Due to the limitations of input-output Methods. modal parameters of civil engineering structures such as bridges, dams, tall buildings, and double layer grids are determined mainly by output-only modal identification. In output-only Methods. the vibration parameters are determined based on the information acquired only from the structure’s output. In this work, physical model of a ball jointed double-layer grid with dimensions of 2.8 m at 2.8 m, which is supported on four steel pipes in four corners was made in the laboratory. The grid consists of 32 members connected together with 13 balls, each having ten threaded holes at different angles. each member consists of a middle pipe and connecting parts including conical piece, sleeve and high strength bolt at both ends of the pipe. The middle pipe has the nominal length, diameter and thickness of 120 cm, 7.64 cm and 0.35 cm, respectively. The horizontal center to center distance of adjacent balls in each layer of the grid is 1.414 m and the total height of the structure includes the column length (1.3 m) and the distance between the top and bottom layers (1 m), which is equal to 2.3 m in total. The approximate weight of the structure is 3532 N. All the members and the balls used in the grid are identical. After all the members of the grid have been assembled, the bolt at each joint is tightened in a series of steps by twisting the corresponding sleeve. Exciting the grid, its acceleration response was measured. The modal parameters were obtained using four output-only modal identification techniques; namely enhanced frequency decomposition (EFDD), curve-fit frequency domain decomposition (CFDD), data-driven stochastic subspace identification (SSI-DD) and covariance-driven stochastic subspace identification (SSI-Cov). Two types of excitations were used in output-only modal tests, namely direct and indirect excitations. Since the modal parameters obtained via input-output modal analysis have less uncertainty compared to the output-only modal analysis techniques, an input-output modal test was also performed and the results are considered as reference values. It deduced that parameters identified in the direct excitation, were more accurate compared to indirect excitation. The results showed that the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the double-layer grid were estimated with a high accuracy via the four Methods. The greatest relative difference between the natural frequencies belonged to the second mode and equaled 2.07%. The dispersion of estimated damping was much higher compared to natural frequencies and mode shapes. The results indicated that identified damping in the direct excitation was lower than indirect one. Among the 4 Methods. SSI-Cov had the least error in damping estimation of the double-layer grid. The values of estimated modal damping ratios were relatively low (fraction of 1%). The mean relative error of the identified parameters showed that the time-domain Methods.estimated the damping ratios with less error; While the frequency-domain Methods.identified natural frequencies and mode shapes with higher accuracy.
